One of the biggest challenges we know Canadian teachers face as they pioneer the digital classroom is finding digital teaching resources that are relevant and of good quality. We will be continuing to add to the list below as we come across resources being used by professionals across the country.
  eWorkshop - A Professional Development website for K-6 teachers focusing on Literacy and Numeracy . Organized by Grade. Modules for Teachers and Parents.
 Statistics Canada - Teaching resources and full lesson plans created by Stats Canada. Organized by Subject, Resource Type.
  Curriculum Services Canada - A not-for-profit standards agency for "Pan-Canadian" quality-assurance of teaching and learning resources. Some quality free resources and links to many more interesting sites.
ACT Lesson Plans - The "Activity, Curriculum, and Technology Project", a project started by the North Carolina Board of Education. A great collection of lesson plans and resources.
 Discovery Education - High quality K-12 lesson plans. Arranged by subject. Videos available for purchase.
 TICAL - (The Technology Information Center for Administrative Leadership) An American site designed for administrators that looks staunch and wordy but has some helpful resources on topics such as "Curriculum Integration - Best Practices", and "Professional Development - Evaluation". You'll have to sort through US-focused content but worth it if you have time.
UMUC - (University of Maryland University College) A pedagogical perspective on teaching with technology.
ipl2 - (Internet Public Library) A searchable online "library" of links hand-picked by library technicians/information science professionals.

OE-Cake Wiki - A free downloadable physics engine which allows you to create artificial landscapes and see how different materials interact with one another.

The Canadian Social Studies Super Site - "Annotated list of quality websites for Canadian social studies educators, and those interested in Canada." Compiled and maintained by University of Alberta professor Dr. Joe Kirman. Organized by Topic.
    Taking it Global - "An online community of youth interested in global issues and creating positive change." Articles, activities, games, lesson plans related to gloabl issues and social justice. Free registration required to access some areas. Searchable. Largely web-based.
    History By The Minute - Lesson plans, videos, audio clips and more pertaining to Canadian History. Searchable. Arranged by Topic.

Carfleo.org - The Catholic Assocaition of Religious and Family Life Educators of Ontario. Under moderate construction so resources are somewhat limited but easy to navigate.
Catholic Curriculum Corporation - A small number of high-quality K-12 lesson plans and teaching ideas.
PBS - Shakespeare in the Classroom - Resources, lesson plans, teaching strategies, and searchable multimedia database for Shakespeare units.
 Images Canada - "The gateway to Canadian people, events, places, and things." Searchable database of images.
 Canada's Digital Collections - A government digitization project which operated between 1996-2004. Contains hundreds of links to websites on an assortment of topics, from Acadian History to Yves Theriault. Arranged alphabetically by topic. Contains some broken links.
North Carolina IT Lesson Plans - Databases for K-8 math, science, English, Social Studies and more.
Bitstrips for Schools - A comic-making interface that allows students to create avatars/characters, add text, actions, expressions, etc.. Available free to registered Ontario school boards.
Glogster - Easy to use web-based digital poster-making program. Lots of graphics to choose from; ability to link to custom images. Free limited edition.
Prezi - Web-based presentation maker. A snappy alternative to PowerPoint presentations.
